The first Detroit billiards bar that consistently comes to mind is the evergreen Fifth Avenue Billiards, a premiere pool hall with historic atmosphere, classy drinks, great food and live music—Detroit’s Fifth Avenue Billiards is probably one of the raddest pool halls in history. For a grittier Detroit billiard bar on a much smaller scale, the rocker-packed Magic Stick pool hall is a tiny, grotto-like space with a tiny bar, an intimate stage and ten, huddled-over pool tables. In other words, it’s a totally rad (and total Detroiter) billiards bar.
